Hyderabad, June 28: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast widespread rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across Telangana over the next seven days and issued a yellow alert valid till July 4.
According to the forecast, several districts are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall, while isolated places may witness heavy rain accompanied by lightning and squalls. Wind speeds may reach 40 to 50 kmph in some areas.
The weather conditions are expected to bring temperatures down across Telangana. Recent weather observations showed a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius in Sangareddy, while Hyderabad recorded 30.6 degrees Celsius in Khairatabad.

In Hyderabad, the weather department has forecast rain and thundershowers along with generally cloudy skies over the coming days. Residents may experience intermittent showers and changing weather conditions until at least July 1.
Weather observers also expect scattered storm activity during afternoons and evenings in parts of the city and surrounding regions.
Authorities have advised residents to monitor official weather updates and plan travel carefully as rain may lead to local disruptions and slower traffic movement.
