The Home Minister said the Union Home Ministry would soon hold meetings with the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Assam and Tripura regarding border security coordination.

Illegal Migration A Threat To Demographic Balance

Amit Shah described illegal migration as a deliberate conspiracy aimed at changing the country’s demographic balance.

He said the government was committed to identifying and deporting illegal migrants to safeguard national interests.

Speaking on Left Wing Extremism, Shah said the issue should not be viewed merely as a security challenge and stressed the need for complete eradication of extremism.

He further announced that a high-level demography mission would soon be launched to support frontline security personnel.

Praising the role of the BSF, Amit Shah said the force, which started with 25 battalions in 1965, has now grown into one of the world’s largest border guarding forces with nearly 2.7 lakh personnel.

He said the BSF had consistently defended the country’s borders despite multiple challenges and ensured national security without compromise.
