Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Maxim News): Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikaramarka has issued orders to the Chief Engineers to take all measures for the maximum production of Hydro Power in the State.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed the Chief Engineers of thermal and hydro projects to focus on production as much as possible as there is heavy rain in the Krishna and Godavari river catchment areas. He held a review meeting with the Chief Engineers of the departments at Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Praja Bhavan regarding thermal and hydel power productivity. Many suggestions were made to the officials in the meeting.

Bhatti Vikramarks directed the officials to ensure that sufficient coal reserves are available for at least 17 days in each plant for thermal power projects. He made it clear that he should work with commitment to meet the needs of the people. He warned that there is no room for negligence and laziness in work. He said that the power department is a department that works continuously for the people. He urged the officers and staff to remember that an emergency department must work 24/7.

Bhatti Vikramarka told the officials to ensure that there are no problems in power generation and to prepare comprehensive plans to achieve the specified targets. It was explained to the officials that due to not making timely decisions, technical problems had arisen in hydel power projects like Srisailam and Jurala in the past and it resulted in damage. He said that such a situation should not be repeated in making further decisions. For this, the Deputy Chief Minister ordered him to send reports regarding the condition and productivity of power stations once a week.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that he would be available 24 hours a day to listen and solve any problems of the employees working in the power department. If he is not available, he is advised to bring the issues to the attention of the principal Secretary, of the Power Department. The Deputy Chief Minister has issued instructions to the higher officials to seek an explanation in writing from the CEs regarding the projects. 

Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, TRANSCO JMD Srinivas, energy OSD Surender Reddy, GENCO Directors and CEOs attended this meeting.  (Maxim News)
