Intolerance in the India Has Reached Its Peak: KTR

Intolerance in the India | Hyderabad, Oct 7: Former minister and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly condemned the shocking incident in which a 71-year-old lawyer attacked Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai during a Supreme Court hearing.

Reacting to the incident on X (formerly Twitter), KTR described it as a reflection of growing intolerance in the country.

He wrote, “Intolerance has reached its highest level in our country. Yesterday, when CJI Gavai was attacked in the Supreme Court, it was seen as a terrible sign of this. I strongly condemn the attack on Chief Justice B.R. Gavai. This shameful attack on the dignity of the judiciary was not just an attack on an individual, but an attack on the institution itself. No difference of opinion, even on sensitive issues like faith, justifies violence. Such behavior threatens the very foundation of democracy.”

KTR’s statement has drawn attention to the rising concern over the erosion of democratic values and respect for judicial institutions across the country.
