Hyderabad, Sept. 14: Apple is releasing iOS 27 for compatible iPhones on Monday, September 14, with the update bringing major artificial intelligence upgrades, including a redesigned Siri experience.
Apple has confirmed September 14 as the release date but has not officially announced an exact release time. Based on Apple’s previous software launches, the update is expected to become available around 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
For users in India, that translates to around 10:30 p.m. IST on September 14.
However, the update could take some time to reach individual devices because of server demand and the global rollout.
iOS 27 brings major Siri AI upgrade
The biggest change in iOS 27 is the new Siri AI experience. Fast Company reports that Siri is being upgraded into an AI chatbot, with Google’s Gemini models playing a key role in its capabilities.
The update also brings refinements to Apple’s Liquid Glass interface and improvements to several core apps, including Safari, Messages and Camera.

Users can check for the update by opening Settings, selecting General and then Software Update. If iOS 27 appears, they can select Download and Install.
Apple users should ensure that their iPhones have sufficient battery, storage and a stable Wi-Fi connection before starting the update. With millions of users expected to attempt the installation around the same time, download speeds could initially be slower.
Apple’s exact rollout timing remains unconfirmed. Therefore, 10:30 p.m. IST should be treated as the expected release window rather than a guaranteed launch time.
