New Delhi, Sept. 15: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Indore on September 19 to interact with students under his Chhatron Ki Goonj initiative.
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha invited students to attend the programme and share their concerns.
The initiative focuses on education, recruitment and unemployment related issues.
Gandhi said students would discuss their concerns and challenges during the Indore programme.
Chhatron Ki Goonj Focuses on Student Issues
Gandhi has used the campaign to raise concerns about question paper leaks, expensive education and recruitment issues.
The campaign also focuses on unemployment and alleged irregularities in government recruitment.
Four editions have been held so far in Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj and Pune.
The Pune edition was held on August 22 for female students.
Meanwhile, the Indore programme has faced a venue issue. The Congress was denied permission to use Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress unit later took around 12,000 square metres of land near Regional Park on temporary lease.
The lease covers September 17 to 19 for the proposed programme.
Rahul Gandhi’s planned visit has also intensified political activity in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav criticised the programme on Sunday and called it “Jhooth Ki Goonj”.
