Hyderabad: A married woman was found unconscious and severely injured near the Yellamma Temple in Jangampalli after she went missing for three days in Nizamabad district. Her family has alleged that her husband and his relatives were behind the incident.
The woman, identified as Divyavani from Bikkannur mandal, married Aravind of Nizamabad town around 10 years ago. According to her family, the couple had been facing family disputes for the past few months.
Following the differences, Divyavani left her marital home and moved to Bikkannur, her maternal hometown. She had been staying there with her family.
Woman found unconscious near temple
Divyavani reportedly went missing from Bikkannur three days ago. Concerned family members approached the police, following which a missing case was registered and an investigation began.
While the search was underway, she was found in an unconscious and seriously injured condition near the Yellamma Temple at Jangampalli. Locals alerted the police, who reached the spot and shifted her to a hospital for treatment.
Her family suspects an acid attack and has raised serious allegations against her husband and his family members. They have also alleged that the same persons may have been involved in her disappearance.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s disappearance and the alleged acid attack.
