Hyderabad, Sept. 11: Apple has revealed the battery capacities of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max through EU Energy Labels.
The company unveiled both models on Wednesday. It published the Energy Labels on Thursday, revealing their battery capacities.
The iPhone 18 Pro carries a 4,056 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max gets a larger 5,391 mAh battery.
The new figures also show different battery gains over the previous models. The iPhone 18 Pro has a 1.45 percent larger battery than its predecessor.
In comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro Max has an 11.8 percent larger battery than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
However, Apple’s battery capacities can vary by market. The EU models include a physical SIM slot, which takes up space inside the phone.
Apple sells the devices without a physical SIM slot in some other markets. Those versions have larger batteries because the company can use the additional internal space.
iPhone 18 Pro gets EU Energy Label ratings
The EU Energy Labels also reveal several other details about the two new iPhones. Both models receive an A rating for general energy performance.
They also receive a B rating for drop resistance. Both models get a C rating for repairability.
In addition, the labels confirm IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. This gives users more information about the devices’ durability and protection.
The labels also provide information about battery durability. Apple states that both batteries should complete at least 1,000 cycles before their capacity falls below 80 percent.
iPhone 18 Pro Max offers larger battery
The battery figures show a clear difference between the two Pro models. The iPhone 18 Pro Max has a 1,335 mAh larger battery than the iPhone 18 Pro in the EU.
As a result, the larger model is rated to offer longer battery life on a single charge. The difference follows the higher battery capacity of the Pro Max.
Meanwhile, the EU Energy Labels provide the clearest official battery capacity figures for the new models in that market. Apple traditionally does not highlight battery capacity figures in its main product specifications.
The physical SIM slot also explains why battery sizes can differ between markets. Users outside the EU may therefore receive models with larger battery capacities.
The newly disclosed figures give consumers more detail about Apple’s latest Pro models. They also highlight the battery increase in the iPhone 18 Pro Max compared with its predecessor.
