IT Minister KTR inaugurates Tukaram Gate RuB
Hyderabad, Mar. 04: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said that under the Strategic Road Development Plan, infrastructure works worth Rs 6,000 crore were completed and more projects were underway.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the Tukaram Gate Railway under Bridge (RuB) on Friday. He said that to develop and build new RuBs and Road over Bridges (RoBs) in Secunderabad, Sanath Nagar, Khairatabad and other parts of the city, a meeting was recently held with South Central Railway officials.
The Minister also stated that the State government was ready to build RuBs and RoBs and under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the grievances that have been ignored sinces decades were being resolved. He mentioned that the construction of Tukaram Gate Railway under Bridge (RuB) would address the traffic issue in that area that was not resolved for decades.
The facility inaugurated is a great relief from frequent closure of railway crossing at Lalaguda halt station, said a GHMC official. In addition to this, the RuB will also ease traffic congestion on the Malkajgiri, Marredpally, Tarnaka, Mettuguda and Lalapet-Secunderabad road.
