Vijaypat Singhania led Raymond Group to global recognition. Moreover, he played a key role in expanding its textile business. He was widely known for his leadership and achievements.
He received the Padma Bhushan in 2006. In addition, he was honoured with the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award in 2003. These awards recognised his contributions to industry and aviation.

He also remained in the news due to a legal dispute with his son. However, he later advised parents not to transfer property during their lifetime. He shared this view publicly based on his experience.
