Hyderabad, May 5: Jaguar Land Rover India has reduced prices of select Range Rover models by up to Rs 75 lakh. The revision follows import duty reductions under the India UK free trade agreement and applies only to models imported from the United Kingdom.
The company said the move aims to pass on benefits of lower duties to customers. As a result, competition in the premium car segment is expected to intensify.
Jaguar Land Rover Cuts Range Rover Prices After FTA
According to the company, the flagship Range Rover SV price has been reduced from Rs 4.25 crore to Rs 3.5 crore. This marks a cut of nearly Rs 75 lakh. Similarly, the Range Rover Sport SV now costs Rs 2.35 crore, down from Rs 2.75 crore.
The revised prices have come into effect immediately. In addition, Jaguar Land Rover said premium paint finishes will now be offered as standard in the Range Rover SV model.
However, the company clarified that there is no change in prices of other models. It also confirmed that locally manufactured Range Rover variants remain unaffected by this revision.
The Jaguar Land Rover cuts Range Rover prices move highlights the impact of the trade agreement on imported luxury vehicles. Industry observers say it may lead to increased competition within the premium segment.
