Jeevan Reddy targets TRS Govt

Karimnagar, May 17 (Maxim News): Congress party MLC T. Jeevan Reddy today targeted the ruling TRS party led state government and alleged that the state government had cancelled all subsidies after implementing rythu bandhu financial incentive provision scheme .

He said that the subsidies being given on seeds, machinery and drip equipment had been stopped by the state government without citing any reason. He said that the non payment of matching grant by the state government to the horticulture department had led to the return of funds released by the central government . He made these remarks while addressing media persons in the district headquarters. Raising the issue of the implementation of crop insurance scheme has deprived the farmers, whose crops had been damaged due to the recent untimely rains .

He claimed that the farmers of the state had lost ₹10,000 crores is income as they could not cultivate paddy due to the improper policies of the state government. Commenting on the recent decisions of AICC, Reddy said that they were all welcoming the decisions of the party and added that the provision of ₹2 lakh crop loan waiver would immensely help the farmers .

He said that they would provide minimum support price after coming into power in the state . He also said they would provide subsides to all agriculture allied sectors in the same manner as it did during its rule in the undivided Andhra Pradesh state. (Maxim News)
