The State Government today approved the Jharkhand Medical Services Protection Act 2017. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here.
An official release issued after the meeting said that among other key decisions, the state government has decided to open residential schools on the likes of Netarhaat and Indira Gandhi Balika Vidyalay in South Chottanagpur Division (Ranchi), Kolhan Division (Chaibasa) and in Santhal Pargana Division (Dumka).
A sum of Rs 41.86 crore has also been sanctioned to provide LPG connections to prepare hot food under the midday meal scheme. The cabinet also passed a decision to constitute new posts of the principal, vice principal, graduate trained teachers and other educational staffs for the 89 model schools being run by the stategovernment. It was also decided that the Indira Gandhi Balika Vidyalay would be upgraded to a plus 2 level school.
