Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s recent statements have sparked speculation that he may support Naveen Yadav, a potential Congress candidate, in the Jubilee Hills bypoll.
Talasani’s Support for Naveen Yadav
Naveen Yadav, son-in-law of Talasani’s brother, has been guided politically by Talasani for several years.
While Talasani acknowledged that Naveen faced challenges and legal cases under the BRS regime, he refrained from commenting directly on his support until the election notification was released. “Naveen Yadav is my family member. I have been guiding him politically for many years. I will speak when the occasion arises,” Talasani said in the interview that is now widely shared online.
The possibility of Talasani offering support for his son-in-law has created a debate in political circles. Known for his influence in Hyderabad, particularly in Sanath Nagar which borders Jubilee Hills, Talasani’s position could indirectly sway voter sentiment even without formal backing.

Talasani emphasized his loyalty to the party while acknowledging personal and familial ties to Naveen Yadav.
Political analysts suggest this balance between party allegiance and kinship may introduce new tension for BRS, which could affect voter dynamics in the upcoming bypoll.
