Justice Sujoy Paul Appointed As Interim CJ Of Telangana High Court

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 15 (Maxim News):  The President has appointed Justice Sujoy Paul as the interim Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.

An order to this effect was issued, handing over the responsibilities of the Chief Justice to Justice Sjay Pal, who is a senior judge of the High Court.  The present Chief Justice, Justice Alok Aradhe, has been transferred as the CJ of the Bombay High Court.

Born on June 21, 1964, Justice Sujoy Paul completed his B.A., MA, and LL.B. and was enrolled in the Madhya Pradesh Bar Council in 1990.  He served serval banks, Human Rights Commissions, and boards.

He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on May 27, 201,1, and as a permanent judge on April 14, 2014.  He was transferred as a judge of the Telangana High Court on March 21, 2024, on the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium.  He was recently appointed as the CJ of the High Court.  (Maxim News)
