Hyderabad, Sept. 1: Kakatiya University has signed an MoU with Germany’s Reutlingen University to expand international higher education opportunities for Telangana students.
The agreement will enable selected students to pursue a five year 3+2 master’s programme. They will complete three years at Kakatiya University and two years at Reutlingen University in Germany.
Kakatiya University Opens Germany Study Opportunities
Under the programme, students from computer science, artificial intelligence and machine learning can pursue a Master of Professional Software Engineering.
Students from other disciplines can pursue a Master of Digital Business Management. However, only 20 students will be selected based on merit and reservation criteria.
Students completing the first three years will receive an undergraduate degree from Kakatiya University. They will then receive a master’s degree from Reutlingen University after completing the programme.
The MoU was exchanged during an online event held at Osmania University in Hyderabad. Kakatiya University Vice Chancellor Prof. K Pratap Reddy and Registrar V Ramachandram represented KU.
Reutlingen University was represented by Prof. Brune Jochen and Stefan Deglemann. The agreement followed a visit by Prof. Pratap Reddy and Education Department Principal Secretary Yogita Rana to Reutlingen University.
The initiative is expected to provide students with access to advanced studies and employment opportunities in Germany. Osmania University Vice Chancellor Professor Kumar Molugaram and senior KU officials attended the event.
