The dispute over government degree college and Aurora land escalated into street protests. As a result, clashes broke out between party workers, forcing police to step in.

The controversy began over allegations related to college lands. On the 16th of this month, Shabbir Ali addressed a media conference.

Shabbir Ali questioned who sold Kamareddy Government Degree College land to a private school and college. Ali alleged that the land was sold to Aurora College for Rs 6 crore. He also made several political accusations against the MLA.

In response, on the 17th, MLA Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy strongly reacted. Ramana Reddy challenged Shabbir Ali for an open debate.

MLA Ramana Reddy asked him to come with evidence and attend a discussion at Saraswathi Shishumandir at 10 am on Saturday. He said he would attend in person. He also made strong remarks and called upon his supporters to respond firmly to allegations.

Clashes After Challenge Between MLA and Shabbir Ali

Meanwhile, Congress leaders accepted the challenge and said they were ready for a discussion. However, tensions rose in Kamareddy town from early morning.

Congress leader Mahender Reddy, along with his supporters, moved toward the MLA’s residence. At that time, BJP workers allegedly overturned and damaged Mahender Reddy’s vehicle on the road.

As tempers flared, leaders and workers from both parties clashed. During the scuffle, several police personnel sustained injuries.
