Karimnagar Canal Body Found of Missing Employee

Hyderabad: Karimnagar canal body found case came to light after a government employee who went missing was later discovered dead. The deceased was identified as Rachakonda Lachaiah, aged 55.

According to police, Lachaiah was working as a veterinary assistant in Ellanthakunta of Rajanna Sircilla district. He had gone to the Kakatiya canal near Chinthakunta of Kothapalli mandal on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday. He reportedly went there to take a bath.

However, during the visit, he was washed away in the canal. Meanwhile, his sudden disappearance raised concern among family members and locals. Soon after, police began efforts to trace him.

Authorities found Lachaiah’s clothes and bike on the canal bank. This led them to suspect that he had entered the canal and was swept away by the water. Therefore, a search operation was launched in the area.

Later, police located his body on the outskirts of Chinthakunta. The recovery brought clarity to the missing case. However, it also left the family in shock over the sudden loss.

Based on a complaint lodged by his wife Padma, police registered a case. They have now started an investigation into the incident. Officials are examining the circumstances that led to him being washed away.

Meanwhile, the Karimnagar canal body found incident highlights the risks associated with entering canals. Also, authorities continue to look into all aspects of the case as part of their inquiry.
