Karimnagar Dairy’s Milk Chilling Centre Seized in Sircilla
Karimnagar/Hyderabad, Feb 20 (Maxim News): Officials seized the Karimnagar Dairy milk chilling center in Agraharam, Vemulawada rural mandal, on Thursday.
The center, which has been operating for 22 years with a 10,000-litre capacity, was shut down for lacking TS-iPASS approval. Municipal and revenue officials sealed the facility, leaving 20,000 liters of milk inside the tanks. The closure directly affects around 25,000 dairy farmers who supply milk to the center.
Farmers and Employees Protest Seizure
Employees have criticized officials for closing the center without prior notice. Just a few days ago, municipal officials also demolished its compound wall, adding to the controversy.
Dairy farmers also expressed anger over the move, pointing out that thousands of farmers across the erstwhile Karimnagar district depend on Karimnagar Dairy for their livelihood. They questioned the decision, calling it unfair and damaging to the dairy industry. (Maxim News)
