Hyderabad, Feb. 6 (Maxim News) : Telangana Jagruthi chief Kavitha said the party formation process is likely to be completed within three months.
Kavitha stated that efforts are underway and that the leadership is waiting for an auspicious time to formally announce the next step.
Kavitha made these remarks during an informal interaction with the media after a meeting at the Telangana Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills.
Kavitha said the groundwork for the party structure is progressing steadily. However, she added that the final decision would be taken at the right time. According to her, the process needs careful planning and clarity.
Meanwhile, Kavitha strongly criticised the Special Investigation Team handling the phone tapping case. She alleged that officials caught “small fish” while letting “big fish” go.
Kavitha said SIT officers arrested DSP Praneeth Rao but ignored those who allegedly gave orders for phone tapping. She claimed the government later demoted Praneeth Rao after the SIT probe.
However, she alleged that the case is being dragged out like a television serial. She said such an approach raises serious doubts about the intent behind the investigation.
Kavitha also spoke about political attacks in Telangana. She said there is a book in Telangana history dedicated to KCR. She claimed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lacks the courage to face KCR politically.
She also said political criticism in the state has crossed limits. According to her, comments that insult communities and leaders are unacceptable.
She added that people are watching political behaviour closely. She said voices are growing in support of leaders, CPM, and independent candidates who question parties.
Turning to welfare issues, Kavitha accused the Congress of failing to implement its BC promises.
She recalled that the Congress, in the Kamareddy Declaration, promised Rs 20,000 crore every year for BCs and a legal BC Sub Plan.
However, she said this promise was not fully implemented in the last two budgets. She noted that allocations increased in the 2025–26 budget but still fell short of the population-based commitment.
She said BC intellectuals and organisations are demanding a legal BC Sub Plan like SC and ST Sub Plans. She added that criticism is growing and urged the government to review its promises in the upcoming budget session.
Later, Kavitha announced that a Telangana movement activists self-respect meeting will be held on the 12th of this month.
She said Telangana Jagruthi is organising the event at RTC Kalyana Mandapam. She invited movement activists, families of martyrs, and Telangana supporters to attend in large numbers.
She said the aim is to honour Telangana movement history and protect self-respect. (Maxim News)
