Hyderabad, April 17: Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday criticised the Telangana government over pending promises to employees, teachers, and workers. She made the remarks through a post on social media platform X.
Kavitha alleged that the Congress government failed to fulfil key assurances given after coming to power. She said several promises made to employee groups still remain pending.
Kavitha stated that the government had promised to implement a Pay Revision Commission within six months. However, she said there is no clarity on the issue even now.
Kavitha Extends Support to Protests
Kavitha also accused the government of abandoning its promise to scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme and restore the Old Pension Scheme. Moreover, she said the employee health scheme is not functioning properly.
She further claimed that retirement dues and medical reimbursement payments remain pending. In addition, she questioned when the government would clear five Dearness Allowance instalments due to employees.
Therefore, Kavitha announced full support from Telangana Jagruthi to statewide protests planned by employees, teachers, and workers during lunch hour today.
She said the agitation seeks justice for pending demands. Meanwhile, she urged the government to respond immediately and resolve employee issues without delay.
Kavitha added that Telangana Jagruthi would continue to stand with workers and staff members in their struggle for rightful benefits.
