Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MP Revanth Reddy criticized Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s government for diverting Rs. 35 thousand crores of sarpanches funds. He said that situations have arisen where salaries have to be paid to sanitation workers by begging.
Participated in a protest program against the government called “Sankharavam on funds and duties’ at Indira Park, Charnachowk, today, he said that sarpanches have done the work in the villages by selling properties and taking loans for the development of panchayats. He said that some Sarpanchs and Sub-Sarpanches have committed suicide due to not paying the bills on time. He lamented that the conditions have come where they have to beg and pay wages to the sanitation workers. Revanth Reddy alleged that the funds of Gram panchayats were given to big entrepreneurs and contractors and sarpanches are being suspended if trees die in villages.
He alleged that people are losing their lives due to drainage defects in urban areas and why Municipal Administration Minister K.Tarak Rama Rao is not taking action on this. He said that many children died after falling into canals and ponds. Revanth Reddy said that the credit for making Hyderabad an International city belongs to the Congress.
KCR has borrowed Rs. 28 thousand crores so far this year only for salaries, he questioned how he will pay salaries to the employees for three more months. He said that Telangana which was known as a rich and surplus state, has been brought into debt, till now Rs. 5 lakh crores of debt was incurred and the KCR government imposed a debt of Rs. 1.5 lakh for each person in the state. He said that earlier GHMC had fixed deposits of Rs. 600 crores in banks and during the KCR rule, GHMC has come into debt.
Revanth Reddy questioned what KCR is shouting about the Telangana model has done to the state, he said that the Telangana model means minimum governance and maximum politics, and he questioned.
He said that whether TDP was in power or congress was in power, Sarpanchs were respected, if they went to the MRO office or MPDO office, they used to get proper respect. He said that if the problem was mentioned, the situation would have been resolved, but now the situation has completely changed. He said that the sarpanches are being treated properly in the government office. (Maxim News)
