Delhi/Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News): The BJP has once again criticised Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who recently moved into a government bungalow in Lodhi Estate. The BJP has accused Kejriwal of converting his official residence into a luxury house with private money and building a second Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace). However, the Aam Aadmi Party has rejected the allegations.
Delhi Public Works Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma made sensational allegations at a media conference here on Saturday that Kejriwal, who said he would lead a simple life, built Sheesh Mahal-2 and that he has become accustomed to a luxurious life. He said that Kejriwal shifted to Punjab after Delhi Dhurandhar voters sent Kejriwal away from Sheesh Mahal, occupied a building there, and now he has built Sheesh Mahal-2 in Lodhi Estate. He said that the Center had allotted a type-7 bungalow to the AAP chief as a national party, but private money was spent on the most luxurious facilities in it. How much money was spent? Where did that money come from, he asked. He displayed photos of Lodhi Estate before the media.
Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Chief Minister Atishi said on social media ‘X’ that the photos released by Verma under the name Sheesh Mahal 2 are not real but fake. ‘The photos released by Verma are fake. They are not related to Kejriwal’s house. Rekha Gupta (Chief Minister) and Lieutenant Governor Sahib should also open their houses and show them. Kejriwal will also show his house. Then the people will decide whose house is more luxurious,’ said Atishi. Verma won against Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency in the assembly elections held last year. (Maxim News)
