Hyderabad, February 24: Lance Corporal Srujana Sadhu Sharma of 1(T) Battalion NCC, Hyderabad Group, and a B.Tech student of KLH Aziznagar Campus, has received the prestigious Director General NCC Commendation Card at the national level. The honour is among the highest awards given within the National Cadet Corps.
The DG NCC Commendation Card is reserved for cadets who show exceptional discipline, leadership, and service excellence at the national level. Therefore, the recognition places LCPL Srujana Sadhu Sharma among a select group of high performing cadets across the country. These cadets uphold the finest traditions of the NCC.
Her journey to the DG NCC Commendation Card included representing the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate at the Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi. The camp is known for its strict selection process and national visibility. Participation in RDC reflects months of disciplined training, competitive evaluations, and sustained performance.
Meanwhile, Sergeant Aila Varun, another B.Tech student of KLH Aziznagar Campus and a member of 1(T) Battalion NCC, Hyderabad Group, also represented the Directorate at RDC 2026. He showed exemplary leadership during the camp. He served as a lead in cultural presentations and also took part in nationally significant ceremonial engagements.
Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President, KL Deemed to be University, congratulated the cadets. He said such national distinctions result from sustained mentoring, rigorous NCC training, and an institutional culture that nurtures responsibility along with academic excellence. He remarked, “This recognition is not merely an award; it reflects character, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
