Hyderabad, Oct. 6: KLH Hyderabad has inaugurated its Agentic AI Campus initiative in collaboration with HCL Group AI Labs. The initiative aims to integrate artificial intelligence into student learning, practical projects and industry engagement.
The launch was held at the KLH Bachupally campus on October 5, 2026. Deepak Sarvanan, National Head of HCL Group AI Labs, formally inaugurated the initiative. KLH also signed a memorandum of understanding with the organisation.
Dr. L. Koteswara Rao, Principal of KLH Bachupally, represented the institution during the MoU exchange. Dr. A. Srinath, Dean of Skill Development, and other senior officials, faculty members and staff attended the event.
The institution describes the initiative as India’s first Agentic AI Campus. The collaboration is intended to help students across disciplines understand, develop and apply intelligent technologies through practical learning.
KLH Plans Hands-On AI Learning and Responsible Innovation
The proposed roadmap will encourage students to use AI to investigate problems, test ideas and develop solutions for industry and society.

Students will work on projects involving business automation, data-driven services and AI applications tailored to different academic disciplines. They will also learn to evaluate the accuracy, reliability and practical value of the systems they develop.
Agentic AI refers to systems that can plan and execute multiple tasks towards a defined goal, with appropriate human oversight. Such systems can support activities ranging from information analysis to workflow coordination and decision-making.
Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President of KL Deemed to be University, said the collaboration would connect classroom learning with hands-on projects and industry expertise.
He said the initiative aims to give students opportunities to develop intelligent solutions for real-world challenges. He also emphasised preparing young people to innovate responsibly and adapt to a changing workplace.
Faculty development will form another part of the initiative. The collaboration plans to help educators integrate AI into teaching, assignments and student mentorship.
The programme will also emphasise responsible AI use. Students will be encouraged to verify AI-generated information and understand the limitations of these systems. Data privacy, bias, reliability and human accountability will remain key considerations.
KLH Hyderabad aims to strengthen links between academic learning and industry needs across its Bachupally and Aziznagar campuses. The initiative is intended to help students build practical AI skills and apply them to real-world problems.
