Hyderabad, Feb.11 (Maxim News): Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy called Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadari in national capital and thanked him for sanctioning Rs 200 crore for road works on the national highway 565 connecting Nagarjuna Sagar with Nakrekal. He urged the Union minister to complete the works at the earliest.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkat Reddy said he had also thanked the Union minister and garlanded him for sanctioning another Rs 375 crore for expansion of the NH 65. He said as the DPR of the project was not yet ready, he urged Gadkari to issue orders for preparation of the DPR at the earliest. He also said although the highway between Kothagudem and Hyderabad has been recognized as a national highway by covering areas like Valigonda, Torrur, Nellikuduru, Mahbubabad and Yellandu, the maintenance of the road was not good due to negligence of the officials concerned.
The MP said the road was useful and it would decrease the distance between Hyderabad, Vizag and Chattisgarh by 100 km. He said his constituency covers 100 km of the total National Highway. He said although the DPR of the project was prepared in 2016, the works on the same had not been commenced so far.
Meanwhile, the MP also submitted a representation to the Union minister for environment, forests and climate change and urged him to rescind all permissions given by the ministry for establishment of pharmacy city in Hyderabad as many irregularities took place in the acquisition of land for the city.
