He is also working as Special Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. According to the official order, he will continue as the in charge chairman of Singareni until further orders.

Krishna Bhaskar has prior experience in district administration as well. He earlier served as the District Collector of Sircilla for a long period. Later, he took charge as the head of the state government owned power generation company Genco. Therefore, the Singareni CMD role adds to his existing portfolio in the energy and power sector.

The Singareni CMD appointment is significant as Singareni Corporation plays a crucial role in the state’s coal production and energy supply chain. However, the government order did not specify the duration of his tenure. It only stated that Krishna Bhaskar will continue as in charge chairman until further instructions are issued.

Meanwhile, officials noted that the appointment ensures administrative continuity at Singareni after the completion of the previous CMD’s term. The government has not announced any other changes related to the corporation at this stage. Later, further orders may clarify whether Krishna Bhaskar will continue in a full time capacity or only as an interim arrangement.

For now, Krishna Bhaskar remains at the center of the state’s power and coal administration, holding charge of both Genco and Singareni. The Singareni CMD appointment reinforces his role in overseeing key public sector undertakings in Telangana. (Maxim News)
