Panchayat Election Results Signal KCR Return As CM: Harish Rao

  • Panchayat election results show trust in KCR and BRS, says Harish Rao
  • Panchayat election results weaken Congress and BJP in Siddipet

Hyderabad, Dec 17 (Maxim News): Panchayat election results in Telangana reflect a clear public mood in favour of BRS and KCR, former minister Harish Rao said on Tuesday. He stated that villagers have already decided that KCR should return as Chief Minister and that the BRS should come back to power. According to him, the outcome of the Sarpanch elections shows that both Congress and BJP have lost credibility among the people.

Speaking during a joining programme, Harish Rao said the people of villages delivered a strong verdict through the panchayat election results. He said KCR and BRS remain symbols of trust and confidence. Meanwhile, BJP Sarpanch of Nancharupalli in Siddipet district, Narasimha Reddy, joined the BRS. Harish Rao welcomed him into the party by covering him with a pink scarf. Also, Congress and BJP leaders from Peddakodur joined the BRS on the same occasion.

Harish Rao said people were fed up with what he described as the hypocritical dramas of Congress and BJP during the Sarpanch elections. Therefore, he claimed that voters taught both parties a lesson through their ballots, especially in Siddipet district. He said the panchayat election results clearly reflected the public anger and growing support for BRS at the grassroots level.

Targeting the BJP, Harish Rao said that BJP’s slogan of Sabka Saath does not translate into Sabka Vikas. He said, “It is Sabka Baqwas.” He further criticised Congress leader Revanth Reddy and said he is not acting like a Chief Minister. He alleged that Revanth Reddy is a cutting master who is cutting schemes meant for the poor.

Later, Harish Rao accused the Congress government of failing to deliver promised benefits. He said the government owes Rs. 55 thousand to women and Rs. 44 thousand to the elderly. According to him, these failures have pushed people away from Congress. Therefore, he said the panchayat election results prove that villagers want KCR back as Chief Minister and BRS back in power.
