KTR Accuses Revanth Govt Of Injustice In HYDRA Demolitions
- KTR accuses Revanth government of discrimination in Hydra demolitions

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on the Revanth Reddy-led state government, accusing it of showing dual standards in the Hydra demolition drive. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday during a PowerPoint presentation under the Hydra exhibition initiative, KTR alleged that while houses of the poor were being demolished without notice, no action was being taken against the properties of politically influential people situated within Full Tank Level (FTL) limits.
Highlighting the achievements of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, KTR said that during KCR’s tenure, major infrastructure — including flyovers, underpasses, and new districts — were created, and the fluoride epidemic was eradicated. He criticized the current Congress government for failing to initiate any new development projects, asserting that “KCR will return to power in 500 days.” KTR also promised assistance to families affected by the Hydra demolitions and questioned, “Is there one justice for the poor and another for the elderly?”
During his presentation, KTR targeted Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s report, which had listed 15 builders allegedly involved in illegal constructions under Hydra. “Why has no action been taken against even one of them?” he asked. He challenged Hydra Commissioner Ranganath, who had pledged to demolish all structures built within FTL limits, questioning whether he had the courage to act against the houses of senior leaders. KTR alleged that Minister Vivek’s residence, Revanth Reddy’s brother Tirupati Reddy’s home, Patnam Mahender Reddy’s guesthouse, and Legislative Council Chairman Sukhender Reddy’s house were all located near or within prohibited zones.
Expressing anger at what he termed selective action, KTR said that the government demolished homes of the poor near Sunnam pond while sparing properties of the powerful. Supporting the claim, BRS MLA Arikepudi Gandhi from Gajularamaram said that no action was taken against his land after he joined Congress. KTR asked why projects built across the Musi River remained untouched if the government was serious about removing illegal structures.
He also criticized Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy for their silence, reminding that both had earlier condemned bulldozer politics elsewhere. “Rahul Gandhi, who said he would stop a bulldozer in UP, is silent when houses of the poor are being demolished in Telangana,” KTR argued. Victims attending the event broke down as they recounted how Hydra officials razed their homes without prior notice, claiming they were given no chance to retrieve their belongings.
