KTR has all abilities to become chief minister: Srinivas Goud
Hyderabad, Oct.19 (NSS): Minister for Excise Srinivas Goud said IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) will be the next Chief Minister of Telangana after the voluntary exit of current Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from the post.
Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, Minister Srinivas Goud along with MLA K Mahesh Reddy and MLC V Gangadhar Goud said KTR has all abilities to become the Chief Minister and the party rank and file was also strongly seeking KTR to assume the post of Chief Minister.
” First of all, KTR took part in the Telangana agitation actively and fought for the separate State. After the formation of Telangana State, he has proved that he is an able administrator by taking up various portfolios in the State government. Whenever KCR refuses to continue in the post of Chief Minister, whether it happens in next year or five years, KTR will be only the person from the TRS to assume the post of chief minister and nobody is eligible for the post,” Srinivas Goud said.
The Excise Minister also lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders for misleading the people with false promises in Munugode by-election and dividing them on religion lines.
“BJP leaders are trying to terrorize the TRS with the help of investigation agencies, including Enforcement Directorate and CBI. In a bid to win the Munugode by-election, they are also misusing the electoral process with the support of Election Commission of India,” he alleged.
Accusing both BJP and Congress parties of failing to eradicate the fluoride issue in Nalgonda district for over 70 years, Srinivas Goud said that the flouride issue was completely eradicated under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who launched the Mission Bhagiratha scheme and started supplying the potable drinking water to all households in the district, including Munugodu Assembly constituency.
