KTR promises to adopt Munugodu constituency if TRS wins in bypoll

Munugodu, Oct.13 (NSS): TRS working president KT Rama Rao has promised to adopt the Munugodu Assembly constituency if his party candidate is voted to elect in the ensuing by-election.

Addressing the huge rally at Chandur in Munugodu constituency on Thursday, the TRS working president said that the by-election was being held between the arrogance of a contractor, former MLA Rajagopal Reddy and the self respect of Munugodu people.

“I am ready to adopt the Munugodu constituency if our party candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy is elected as an MLA. I will take a complete responsibility for the development of the constituency and will review its development progress with utmost care. I appeal to the people to cast their vote for the development,” KTR said.

Criticizing BJP candidate Rajagopal Reddy for forcing the by-election on people of Munugodu, Minister KTR said that Rajagopal had done nothing to the constituency when he was MLA and he had joined the BJP only after getting the contract worth Rs 18,000 crore.

” Since Rajagopal got the contract of Rs.18,000 crore, he feels that he can purchase votes like a product in the market with money. People should teach a fitting lesson that there is no place for such arrogant and greed persons in the democracy,” KTR said.

Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to implement the recommendations of Niti Ayog which suggested the allocation of Rs.19,000 crore to Telangana State for the eradication of fluorosis, KTR said that Narendra Modi didn’t deliver a single promise during his eight years tenure and the BJP had no right to seek votes in the Munugodu by-election.

KTR along with Minister Jagadish Reddy and Left party leaders accompanied the party candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy who filled the nomination papers for the by-election.

Later, KTR visited the residence of Amshala Swamy in Shivannagudem village and had lunch with him. Swamy is a victim of Fluorosis. The State government has sanctioned Rs.5 lakh for the construction of double bedroom house. KTR has enquired about the progress of his house and asked the party leaders to extend the help for the completion of house.(NSS)
