KTR sends legal notice to Bandi Sanjay

Legal Notice | The State Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday issued a legal notice to the State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar through his lawyer. The legal notice demanded an unconditional apology within 48 hours on some unfounded allegations made against the ministers, but if the latter does not respond to the notice then BJP chief might face defamation case in the court.

Minister KT Rama Rao has served a legal notice to BJP State president Bandi Sanjay demanding that the BJP leader offer an unconditional apology within 48 hours on some unfounded allegations made against the ministers. If the unconditional apology was not coming forth a case of defamation would be filed in a court of law, the notice maintained.

During his Praja Sangrama Yatra in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday, the BJP State president had alleged that the negligence of State Government and the mistakes of Rama Rao’s alleged benami company had forced 27 intermediate students to commit suicide.

Responding to the allegations levelled by Bandi Sanjay, the Industries Minister on Thursday tweeted “BS Kumar, if you don’t stop this ludicrous, baseless & irresponsible allegations, I’ll be constrained to take legal action. If you have an iota of evidence to prove what you allege, please put it in public domain or else apologise publicly for this BS rhetoric, (sic),”

The legal notice maintaied that Sanjay who was working as the BJP State president and being a Lok Sabha MP from Karimnagar, “you (Bandi Sanjay) enjoy wide reach and popularity among people. As an elected sitting MP, you (Bandi Sanjay) are at all times under an obligation to act in a bonafide manner and to conform to a high standard of integrity. However, in the greed to derive publicity, an attempt was made to falsely imply the issue of intermediate students’ suicide upon my client”, the legal notice said.

“In view of the false allegations made against my client and the attempts to malign his reputation, Bandi Sanjay is entitled for legal action, including payment for damages and compensation. Also to extend unconditional apology within 48 hours,” the lawyer said.
