Hyderabad, may 12: K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on both the BJP and Congress over the handling of the POCSO case involving Bandi Bhageerath, son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Taking to social media platform X, KTR mocked the BJP’s popular slogan “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and sarcastically altered it to “Beta Bhagao, Beta Bachao.”
Original slogan was “Beti Padao, Beti Bachao”
Latest is
“Beta Bhagao, Beta Bachao”

The BRS leader alleged that both the BJP and Congress were trying to protect the accused in the case. He questioned whether it was the first time in the country’s history that the son of a sitting Union Minister was allegedly absconding in a criminal case.
KTR’s remarks came amid increasing political heat surrounding the POCSO case registered against Bandi Bhageerath at Petbasheerabad police station in Hyderabad.
KTR Questions Delay In Arrest
The BRS working president also targeted the Congress government in Telangana over the delay in taking action in the case. He indirectly accused the State government of showing reluctance in arresting the accused despite serious allegations.
The controversy has triggered intense political debate in Telangana, with opposition parties accusing both the BJP and Congress of political understanding in the matter.
Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed police officials to constitute a Special Investigation Team to probe the case. The Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights also formed a special bench and sought a detailed report from Cyberabad Police.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders have maintained that the law will take its own course in the matter. Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao recently stated that the issue was a personal matter related to Bandi Sanjay’s family and not connected to the BJP as a party.
Police officials are continuing their investigation into the allegations under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
