KTR to open Chandrayangutta flyover today

Hyderabad, Aug.22 (Maxim News): Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & IT K Tarakama Rao will inaugurate the extended Chandrayangutta flyover in Old city on Tuesday morning.

Out of 41 works taken up under the SRDP project around the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, with the inauguration of the Chandrayangutta extended flyover, 30 projects have been completed and works on 11 other projects are progressing. With this, so far, 15 flyovers have been completed easing exasperated traffic problems in Greater Hyderabad city.

The new flyover will ease traffic problems of air passengers from the Shamshabad International airport to travel through LB Nagar, Nalgonda, and Warangal. To ease the vehicular traffic at Chandrayangudda, the State government had spent Rs 45.87 crore on utility shifting and land acquisition for the project. The extended flyover has four lanes 674 meters long on both sides of the flyover. Consequently, the vehicles from the International airport could pass through the flyover avoiding busy Kandikal Gate and Barkas junctions. (Maxim News)
