Hyderabad, March 27: Minister Seethakka said her journey follows the ideals of her husband Kunja Ramu. She made these emotional remarks during his 22nd death anniversary programme. The event took place on Friday at Mokallapalli village in Kothagudem mandal.
Seethakka, along with her son Surya and family members, paid floral tribute at the memorial. They remembered Kunja Ramu as a leader and a movement partner. Later, she spoke about his life and struggle.
She said, “Kunja Ramu is not just my husband. He is the guide of my struggle.” She also said his sacrifice for Adivasi rights cannot be explained in words. Moreover, she said he did not remain silent after seeing the pain of tribal people in forests. Instead, she said he dedicated his life to their cause.
Meanwhile, she recalled his belief in Adivasi rights over Jal, Jungle, and Zameen. She said the slogan “Mava Nate Mava Raj” reflected his strong commitment. She added that she also continues to work among the people with the same spirit.
Kunja Ramu ideals continue to inspire Seethakka
Seethakka said leaders like Kunja Ramu may not be physically present. However, she said their ideas never die. Therefore, she called on everyone to walk on the path he showed. She also urged people to protect Adivasi rights.
Later, she released the book “Adavi Divitilu–Seethakka Kunja Ramanna” written by Asnal Srinivas. She said the book will take Kunja Ramu’s struggle story to future generations. She also shared her hope that the book will inspire many.
A large number of Adivasi leaders, Congress party leaders, and workers attended the programme. They paid rich tributes to Kunja Ramu. The gathering remembered his contribution and struggle for tribal rights. The programme ended with tributes and remembrance.
