Hyderabad, Nov.12 (Maxim News): The Government Railway Police (GRP) have booked a case against Lingampally-Falaknuma MMTS train loco-pilot D. Chandrashekhar, holding him responsible for the collision with Hundry Intercity Express at Kacheguda Railway Station on Monday.
Acting on a complaint by Railway Superintendent Dasharat, the police booked the case under Sections 337, 338 and 308 IPC against the loco-pilot Chandrashekhar, who was presently undergoing treatment at Care Hospital, where his condition was stated to be serious. The police will also record the statement of the loco-pilot after he recovers from the injuries he suffered after getting trapped inside the train for over eight hours.
Meanwhile, Satyam Dheeraj, Chief Operating officer of CARE Hospitals, Nampally said they received seven patients of which six were admitted at CARE Hospitals on Monday at 7 pm. He said five-year-old Sushmita was treated for injuries in OPD. Saajid Abdur Rasheed Shaik, 45, was brought with pan facial fractures and mid-face edema. He was admitted under Maxilofacial surgery department for surgery and was undergoing treatment. P. Shekar, 36, Raj Kumar, 35, P. Balaeshwarama, 55, with fracture of left ankle, Mohd Ibrahim, 32, with soft tissue injury were undergoing treatment.
Earlier, CARE Hospitals team rushed to accident spot in Kachiguda railway station within minutes of the mishap and a few patients were brought in and treated. (Maxim News)
