Shiv Pratap Shukla Is The New Governor Of Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 6 (Maxim News): Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is currently the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana. Jishnu Dev Verma, who was in charge here till now, has been transferred to Maharashtra. Born in 1952 in Gorakhpur, UP, Shukla ( Shiv Pratap Shukla) previously served as the Union Minister of State for Finance in the Modi government. He entered politics through ABVP and served as a four-time MLA and Rajya Sabha member. He has been the Governor of Himachal since February 2023 and will now come to Telangana.

West Bengal Governor C.V. Anand Bose resigned from his post on Thursday evening. This development has become a political topic of discussion at a time when the assembly election schedule is about to be released. Bose’s resignation was accepted by President Draupadi Murmu. However, CM Mamata Banerjee expressed concern that the resignation may have been due to pressure from the Union Home Minister. Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s term ended and Syed Ata Hasnain was appointed in his place. The Center has issued orders making changes in a total of 9 states. (Maxim News)
