Hyderabad: M. A. Raheem passes away, leaving the journalism fraternity in deep grief. The senior and widely respected journalist died after a prolonged illness. His demise has been mourned by fellow journalists, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers across Hyderabad and beyond.
Mr. Raheem was regarded as one of the senior-most voices in journalism. Over the years, he earned respect for his long-standing contribution to the profession. His work and commitment left a lasting impact on the media community. However, his passing now marks a significant loss that will be deeply felt within journalistic circles.
The family has announced that the Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered on Wednesday, 7 January 2026. The prayers will take place after Zohr prayers at 1:15 PM at Jama Masjid, AC Guards, located beside Mahaveer Hospital, AC Guards. Journalists, friends, and well-wishers are expected to attend and pay their final respects.
Later, the burial will be held at the AC Guards Graveyard, beside KGN Xerox, Khairtabad. Arrangements have been made by the family to ensure that all rituals are conducted as per tradition.
For further details, family members have requested that people contact his grandson, Manhal Mohammed Khalifa, at 9885456410. Meanwhile, the bereaved family has humbly requested prayers for the departed soul’s Maghfirat and for strength and patience (Sabr) during this difficult time.
Mr. Raheem’s passing closes an important chapter in Hyderabad’s journalistic history. His contribution, voice, and integrity will be remembered with respect and gratitude.
