Madigas’ Bid To Storm State BJP Office Foiled

Hyderabad, Feb.8 (Maxim News): Prolonged issue of SCs’ categorization hit State BJP with activists of Madiga community tried to lay siege around State BJP office at Nampally demanding that the party leaders take steps for introduction of the SC Categorisation Bill in parliament.

However, the police frustrated their attempts by taking them into custody and shifting them to Goshamahal police station. Convener of Madiga organizations JAC Dhiran Chamar said their goal was to achieve 12% reservations to the Madiga community in the ongoing parliament session. He demanded that the BJP leaders keep their promise of bringing in the SC Categorization Bill within 100 days of coming to power.

He said the Telangana BJP leaders should play a proactive role in the issue. He demanded that Union minister of state for home affairs G. Kishan Reddy take up the issue with the Centre immediately. (Maxim News)
