Hyderabad, Sept. 9: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said Congress never wanted the death of former CM K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Speaking at the Assembly media point on Wednesday, Goud said Congress had no intention of wishing harm to KCR.
However, he alleged that BRS MLA Harish Rao had prayed for bad things to happen to KCR. He said BRS MLC K Kavitha had also made a similar statement.
Goud said Congress respects the opposition leader and does not wish harm to anyone.
Mahesh Goud Defends Revanth Reddy’s Stand On KCR
Goud recalled that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy arranged treatment for KCR through the green channel when he fell ill.
He also asked whether KCR remembered Revanth Reddy inquiring about his health after he came to the Assembly.
Moreover, Goud said Revanth Reddy wanted KCR to attend the Assembly. He added that the Congress government respects the opposition leader.
The TPCC president also said the government had deployed 55 security personnel near KCR’s farmhouse.
On Congress MLA Veerlapalli Shankar’s remarks, Goud said the legislator was a Revanth Reddy supporter. He suggested that Shankar may have spoken out of admiration for the Chief Minister.
Goud also criticised BRS MLC Thatha Madhu over his alleged conduct. He said Madhu’s behaviour was insulting to the Dalit community.
