Mahmood Ali Inaugurated IVF Center At Gandhi Hospital

Hyderabad, Oct 8 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has made available the first in-vitro-fertilization (IVF) center in the state for couples who are having trouble conceiving a child.

Home Minister Mahmood Ali inaugurated the child care center set up on the fifth floor of the Maternal and Child Health Center building at Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad.

Speaking on this occasion, the Home Minister said that he is happy to set up an IVF center in Gandhi Hospital. He said that IVF centers will also be made available in Petlaburuj and Warangal MGM hospitals. He said that they are providing expensive treatment free of cost.  Meanwhile, a fertility center was set up at Gandhi Hospital with Rs. 5 crores.  

Hospital superintendent Raja Rao said that since 2018, Gandhi Hospital has been running a Fertility Center through the IUI method, and so far 200 women have had children with the use of medicines.  The nodal officer of the Fertility Center and Prof. Velanki Janaki of the Department of Gynecology said that it is a good result that the IVF procedure has been made available with the special initiative of Minister Harish Rao.
