Asifabad Treasure Hunt: Eight-Member Gang Arrested, Forest Habitat Damaged
Hyderabad, April 6 (Maxim News): The Chilkalguda police arrested a man who allegedly cheated a woman and sexually assaulted her after befriending her on a matrimonial portal.
The man, Korra Raja alias Korra Raj Chauhan 34, a resident of Nagole, worked with a private company in Rajasthan.
According to the police, a few months ago the man created a fake profile on matrimonial websites and came in contact with a woman from the city. Raja allegedly told the woman that he was unmarried and met her a few times.
“Raja sexually assaulted the woman on pretext of marriage and on a few instances took Rs. 1.5 lakh from her,” said Chilkalguda Inspector B.Anudeep.
The women came to know later that Raja was married and had cheated her. The victim approached the police and made a complaint. A case was registered and Raja arrested. (Maxim News)
