According to officials, Spandana’s family members discovered the incident and immediately rushed to rescue her and the child. Both victims were pulled out of the well and taken to the hospital, but doctors declared that they were brought dead. Police said the tragic event unfolded suddenly, leaving the family and local residents in shock.

Spandana was married to Shravan, a constable with the Telangana State Special Police’s 13th Battalion, stationed at Gudipet in Hajipur mandal. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the procedure. The double death has deeply saddened the community in Rendlapalli, with villagers expressing grief over the incident.

Cases of family distress and suicides have been increasing in rural areas, prompting calls for stronger counseling and support systems for police families and women facing mental health challenges. Officials are expected to file a report once the investigation into Spandana’s death is completed.
