Crude oil cargo diverted to India amid global shifts

Officials said that the Aquatitan had originally loaded its cargo at the Baltic port in late January. It was initially meant to travel to the Rizhao port in China. However, recent developments changed its route.

The United States allowed India to buy Russian oil that was stuck at sea. Therefore, Indian refineries began purchasing such cargo. As a result, the Aquatitan diverted to India instead of China.

Meanwhile, MRPL representatives stated that more shipments are expected. They confirmed that four additional ships are currently at sea. These vessels are likely to arrive in India soon.
