Hyderabad, April 28: Manish Sisodia said he would invoke the Gandhian principle of Satyagraha in the alleged Delhi liquor policy case.
The former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister also expressed concerns over the ongoing court proceedings. Moreover, he said trust in the justice system must remain strong.
Manish Sisodia Invokes Satyagraha In Delhi Liquor Case
Sisodia wrote a letter to Delhi High Court judge Justice Swarnkanta Sharma expressing his reservations.
He stated that his conscience did not permit him to continue participating in the proceedings before the judge under the current circumstances.
Sharing the letter on X, Sisodia said the issue was not about any individual. Instead, he said justice must not only be fair but must also appear fair to citizens.
He clarified that his faith in the judiciary and the Constitution remains intact. However, he added that lingering doubts had compelled him to adopt the path of Satyagraha.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had also raised concerns regarding the case and court proceedings.
The alleged Delhi liquor policy case has remained a major political issue involving several leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.
