Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): In a massive blow to interstate drug trafficking networks, the EAGLE (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement) team nabbed two interstate drug paddlers and seized 847 kgs of marijuana and seized the contraband worth Rs. 4.2 crore.
The drug was packed in 26 bags containing 41q1 packets of marijuana. Two individuals, both habitual offenders from odisha, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
Police also seized an SUV, two mobile phones, and a sword that the accused reportedly used for protection while transporting the narcotics.
The bust marks a significant step in dismantling organized drug trafficking routes operating between the Andhra-Odisha border regions and Telangana. (Maxim News)
