Hyderabad, Sept. 3: A massive Ganesha idol was damaged after a speeding lorry rammed the truck carrying it near Gajwel Ring Road in the early hours of Thursday.
The idol was being transported from Dhoolpet to Siddipet when the accident occurred. The truck driver had stopped after a signboard blocked the vehicle’s path.
The driver was waiting for the signboard to be removed before continuing towards Siddipet. However, a speeding lorry reportedly rammed the stationary truck.
Ganesha Idol Damaged in Gajwel Road Accident
The impact caused the Ganesha idol to fall from the truck. The idol suffered damage in the accident.
Meanwhile, the truck driver sustained minor injuries. A car travelling behind the lorry also collided with it after the initial impact.
Gajwel police registered a case and began an investigation into the accident.
