Medaram Jathara Begins– Lakhs Throng: CS Makes Aerial Survey

Hyderabad, Feb.5 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said Medaram Jathara was started here on a grand note. Along with DGP Mahender Reddy, Somesh Kumar made an aerial survey through a helicopter and visited the Jathara site.

He inspected the arrangements made and asked the officials concerned to provide hassle free darshan of the presiding deities to devotees coming in a large numbers. As per the orders given by Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, we are inspecting the facilities and arrangements. He told media persons that all departments are asked to work in effective coordination. Medaram Jathara site is being thronged by huge number of people.

He instructed the officials concerned to see that devotees and people get hassle free darshan at Medaram festival. At Medaram, the festival began today, and it will be ending on February 8.

The chief secretary directed the officials for free movement of lakhs of devotees and darshan of presiding deities of Sammakka and Sarakka at the famous site. The chief Minister has asked us to ensure better facilities at the famous Tribal jathara site.

Our priority is for uninterrupted power, water supply, neat roads, sanitation drive, regular upkeep of premises, toilets, security, CCTV coverage, police bundobust, clean environment and transportation. All departments made effective coordination for smooth conduct of tribal festival, he added.(Maxim News)
