Milad-un-Nabi celebrations on September 19
Milad-un-Nabi | Hyderabad, Aug 30: Milad-un-Nabi celebrations will be held on September 19, as announced by the Milad Committee in Telangana.
The decision was taken after a meeting chaired by Telangana Chief Minister Revanthareddy at BR Ambedkar State Secretariat to discuss the arrangements for the Milad-un-Nabi.

To avoid any clash with Ganesh, Navratri celebrations, begin on September 7 and end with the Ganesh immersion ceremony on September 17. The Chief Minister and the ministers suggested to the members of the Milad Committee to consider the possibility of postponing the Milad Un Nabi procession.

After this suggestion, Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, the Chief Minister’s advisors, MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, and members of the Milad Committee held a discussion. They agreed to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on September 16 and to postpone the processions to September 19.
After discussions with ministers Duddilla Sridharbabu, and Ponnam Prabhakar, advisers to the Chief Minister’s advisors, AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, and members of the Milad committee, it was decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on September 16 and to postpone the processions to September 19.
The members of the Milad Un Nabi Committee said that the 1499th birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (SWS) would be held on September 16 and requested the CM to permit them to organize year-long celebrations of the Prophet’s 1500th birthday next year. To this, CM Revanth Reddy said that the government would give permissions as per the rules.
On requesting permission for the decoration of the mosques and processions in the district centers by the committee members, the Chief Minister suggested to the committee members to prepare a list and submit it.
The CM directed Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari to look into the matter and make appropriate arrangements.
