Minister Jagadish Reddy expresses anger at BJP leaders

Hyderabad, Nov.6 (NSS): State energy minister G. Jagadish Reddy expressed his anger at the BJP leaders for showing over-excitement during the counting of votes in Munugodu Assembly constituency by-election. He alleged that the BJP leaders were trying to win the by-election by threatening the Election Commission of India.

Stating that the ruling TRS party showed clear lead in every round of the counting of votes, Reddy alleged that the BJP leaders misled some media organisations by giving false information as they could not digest the lead of their party. He asked the BJP leaders to stop such acts. He made it clear that the people of the constituency were with the TRS party and CM KCR. He said the people of Munugodu voted for their party symbol car and added that the Election Commission officials took some time to declare the results.

Jagadish Reddy alleged that some Central ministers tried to mount pressure on the Election Commission and influence it. He made it clear that the efforts of the BJP leaders would not yield any result in the constituency. He said the returning officer and observer should declare the results only after the completion of the entire counting process as per existing rules. (NSS)
